Speakers at a discussion meeting held in Feni on Tuesday stressed on the significance and necessity of Ramazan in human life. They further put emphasis on delivering sermons during the Friday congregation on collection of Zakat, denouncing extremism, and maintaining religious harmony.
Islami Foundation, Feni district arranged the programme at the foundation auditorium. Islami Foundation Deputy Director Sarkar Sarowar Alam presided over the discussion, where Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Roy as the chief guest, Police Super A.S.M.Jahangir Alam Sarkar as special guest and Feni Upazuila Chairman Abdur Rahman B.Com. were present.
Maulana Ohid Ullah, Lecturer of Arabic of Feni Alia Madrasah, also took part in the discussion. The speakers asked the all to cooperate with the government’s development programme, including opposing extremism and child marriage.
The discussion was organised on the occasion of the orientation course of the Kalyan Trust of the Imam and the Muazzin.
