Snehasish Mahmud & Co, Chartered Accountants, organized a presentation and discussion to highlight the key changes and relevant features of the Finance Bill 2020 on Monday, 15 June through an online Webinar.
The Finance Bill was presented in the National Parliament on 11th June. The session focused on how the Finance Bill 2020 would impact the,already affected by the COVID pandemic, business community at large.
The opening remarks were given by the Founding Partner Zareen Mahmud Hosein, CPA, FCA. SnehasishBarua FCA, Founding Partner of the firm delivered the technical presentation, emphasizing on the changes in Income Tax, VAT & Customs & Excise Duty.
Md. Tariq Hassan, Deputy Commissioner, Customs Excise and VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka East, NBR and Sarder Md. Abu Helal, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes of Taxes Zone-15, Dhaka, NBR participated as guest speakers to provide further guidance on the Tax & VAT changes.
Partner of the firm, SukantaBhattacharjee FCA, gave the closing remarks at the event. Clients of the firm and leaders of the business community attended the webinar. This was followed by a question and answer session, where the attendees brought forward their queries.
