On the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day 2022 organized by the Department of Neurology of the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital and courtesy of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited was held on Wednesday.
Marking the day an awareness rally was held at the hospital premises of the National Institute of Neuroscience. Discussion sessions was also held in the Neurology Conference Room (Third Floor). The event was attended by eminent doctors of neurology.
Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Md. Shamsul Haque Tuku, MP was present as the chief guest. The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. Kazi Deen Mohammad, Director of Nashlan Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Md. Badrul Alam, Joint Director of the institution, was present as vice-president. Dr. Maliha Hakim, Head of Department of Neurology, National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital was also present as the main speaker in the programme.
The theme for this year’s World Alzheimer’s Day – 2022 is “Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s”. During the discussion, the experts emphasized on the services and treatment of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and drew the attention of the concerned people to create awareness in this regard at all levels.
