Daffodil International School (DIS) hosted its annual sports tournament and picnic – 2016 at DIU Permanent Campus, Ashulia on Friday. Shahana Khan, Principal, DIS presided over the grand event and welcomed the guests.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, of DIS and Daffodil Group graced the enthusiastic event as chief guest. Khan Abdur Razzak and Shahriar Nafees Ahmed two country renowned Cricketer of Bangladesh National Cricket Board ware present in the daylong sports event as special guest.
The Inter Branch Annual sports event started with Oath taking by all the students of DIS. The main formalities started by hoisting the national flag with a guard of honor by student leaders and singing the national anthem together all the students, teachers, guardians and guests of the event.
This Annual sports meet begins with the motto ‘Be the legend’ where students participated enthusiastically to show their talent to win in the games like 50 meter race, 100 meter race, Frog dance race, Butterfly race, Chocolate race, Math solve race, Cockfight, Throw Spare, Memory race, Pot breaking etc. The list of games became more energized with two different tournaments of the day called Badminton and Cricket those were the core excitement among all other participants.
DIS and Daffodil Group Chairman, Md. Sabur khan along with renowned cricketers Nafees and Razzak distributed all the prizes among the Winner of DIS. They inspired the generation of DIS to play and learn for country and lead it towards development. Ms. Rahima K Mirza Rosemary, Senior Vice Principal of DIS expressed heartfelt thanks for everyone’s participation as well support from whole DIS team. The Annual sports and picnic event ended with a loud ‘Cheers’ in front of cameras at a group photo session.
