Dipu Moni pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Education minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
After laying the wreath, the minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Later, she offered doa seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom in the August 15 carnage, reports BSS.
Vice-Chancellor of the National University Professor Dr. Mohammad Moshiur Rahman, Gopalganj District Commissioner (DC) Shahida Sultana, Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddika, District Awami League General Secretary Mahbub Ali Khan, Tungipara Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Al-Mamun, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Didarul Islam, Municipal Awami League President Sheikh Saiful Islam, Union Parishad (UP) Chairman of Patgati Sheikh Shukur Ahmed, officials of National University and leaders of Chandpur 3 Constituency Awami League and allied organizations, among others, were present.
