Popular host, actress and dance artiste Dilruba Sathi, hailed from Rajbari, tied the nuptial knot with Anwarul Kabir Apu, hailed from Brahmanbaria. Their aqdh was held yesterday. It was a settle marriage. On Thursday, on Sathi’s birthday her Gaye holud was held at her parents’ residence in the city’s Mirpur area.
Sathi informed that Apu has an IT firm in the capital’s Agargaon area. She said, “To give priority to my parents, I have decided to start a new life with Apu. As a person, Apu is very nice. I am happy to get him in my life. Everybody pray for us.”
Dilruba Sathi has been working as a host at Channel i for many years. Her acted most mentionable play was Hoimonty where played in the title role. She last acted in Rezanur Rahman’s telefilm titled Eimatro Pawa Khobor in last March. Under same director’s direction Sathi also acted in another telefilm Siren. She also performed as model in TVCs of Kanka DVD, Nova Television, Smart Mehedi, etc. Sometimes she also works as a choreographer.
