About two decades ago once popular film actress Dilara acted last film was released. Later she did not seen to act in any other movie. After a break of 20 years, Dilara will be seen in a new movie. She is acting in Montazur Rahman Akbar’s movie Dulabhai Jindabad. She is acting in role of Ahmed Sharif’s wife and hero Bappi Saha’s mother, Amena in the film. She has already finished shooting of her part.
While talking in this regard Dilara told this correspondent, “I am really feeling well to work after a long time break in the big screen. In fact, due to my only daughter Raka I was detached from acting. She has matured enough and has a daughter named Riva. Only for her I was detached from acting. Overall I remain well. Now I am passing leisure times. But when I will be regular again I can’t say right now.”
It is noted that Dilara acted last released movie was MA Kashem directed Rongin Bahram Badshah. She and Diti acted in that movie.
Dilara started her acting career through theatre play. Under Rafiqul Bari’s direction she first performed as a model in an advertisement of Muslim Saree. After working she got the opportunity to act in Amzad Hossain’s movie Sundori. Later she also acted in 100 movies like Shesh Uttor, Tin Bahadur, Ekhon-e Shomoy, Nazma, Kalo Golap, Ashoti, Samrat, Awlad, Nadira, Rajbhikhari, Padmogokhra, Highjack, Asha Nirasha, Rokter Bondi, etc. Dilara acted only mentionable commercial theatre play was Nawab Siraj ud-Daulah. She played the role of Lutfa in that play. Due to acting in that play she also visited Australia. Her produced movies were Kamruzzaman’s Roshia Bondhu and Khosru Noman’s Saja. Prabir Mitra was her co-actor in those films.
