Newcomer film actress Prarthana Fardin Dighi is going to create a history in the country’s film arena. Except Eid festival, Dighi is going to debut her career in the big screen with releasing of two movies in a day. On March 12, Dighi’s two movies Tumi Achho Tumi Nei, directed by Delwar Jahan Jhontu, and Tungiparar Miya Bhai, directed by Selim Khan, are scheduled to be released. Lolita was the heroine of first Bangladeshi silent movie Shesh Chumbon – The Last Kiss, directed by Ambuj Prasanna Gupta. On the other hand, Purnima Sen was the first heroine of Bangladesh’s first feature film in Bengali language Mukh O Mukhosh, directed by Abdul Jabbar Khan. Later, all the heroines except Bubly (her two movies – Bossgiri and Shooter were released during Eid festival on September 12 in 2016) debuted their careers through single movie including Sumita Devi’s Asiya, Shabnam’s Harano Din, Suchanda’s Kagojer Nouka, Kobori’s Sutorang, Sujata’s Dui Digonto, Shabana’s Chokori, Bobita’s Shesh Porjonto and later Rozina, Champa, Diti, Doyel, Aruna, Moushumi, Shabnur, Poppy, Purnima, Apu Biswas, Mim, Mahiya Mahi and Porimoni also started their careers through one movie. In the first movie, Dighi played the role of Ruma while in Tungiparar Miya Bhai, she acted in role of Fazilatunnesa Mujib Renu.
While sharing her feelings to release her two movies in same day Dighi said, “In fact, when the releasing date of these two movies is coming near I really become fear because I don’t know what will be response by the viewers about my acting. I am missing my mother now. Her first movie was released in 1984. Three persons of that movie – mother Doyel, director Chashi Nazrul Islam and hero Razzak Sir are not alive now. As I learned acting from my mother so, I am missing her a lot. Later, my father inspired me about acting. I will go to cinema halls to enjoy these two movies along with my very close persons as I can inform the fact about my performance.”
Dighi also said that she has already finished shooting of Sumon Dhar directed movie Shesh Chithi. Yash Rohan was her co-actor in the film.
