Moniruzzaman, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Khulna on Saturday asked for tougher action against those who destroy public property by observing general strike and blockade. ‘Those who do not believe in independence and sovereignty of the country are enemies of the state,’ he added, ‘their hands should be damaged who damage vehicles pelting stones’.
The police boss of Khulna division was speaking at several wayside gatherings for creating awareness among the people against the 20 – party enforces blockade and general strike. He spoke wayside rallies at Basundia, Chansra, Monihar premises and New Town based Khajura bus stand in the morning.
