The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) filed a total of 1,429 cases in the fiscal year 2018-19.
Of them, 844 cases have been settled during the period, the DIFE revealed.
The DIFE is working relentlessly to ensure a safe working environment in factories, shops and establishments as per Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 and Bangladesh Labor Rules, 2015.
To enforce the law, the DIFE regularly inspects the factories or establishments on the spot and identifies the violations of labor laws and regulations.
