UNB, Narsingdi :
Train communications of Dhaka with Chittagong and Sylhet were restored early Friday after seven hours of suspension following derailment of a train at Ghorashal railway station in Palash upazila.
Sahadat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Palash Police Station, said two bogies of Sylhet-bound ‘Kalni Express’ veered off the tracks at the railway station around 7:30pm on Thursday, halting train movement of the Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet route.
10-12 passengers of the two bogies were also injured in the accident and they were rushed to a local hospital, said OC.
However, the train services on the two routes resumed after a relief train salvaged the bogies around 3.00am, added the OC.
