Staff Reporter:The Election Commission on Sunday said announced that it has set January 30 next year to hold Dhaka North and South City Corporationselection.
The commission announced that the voters will exercise their franchise through Electronic Voting Machine (EMVs) in all centers of the two cities.
Candidates will have to submit nomination papers by December 31 and scrutinity of the nominations would end on January 2. And the last date for withdrawing the same on January 9.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda made the disclosure at a press conference on Sunday.
EC joint secretary Abul Kashem has been appointed returning officer of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) election, while its another joint secretary Abdul Baten as the returning officer of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election.
