Dhaka Tribune retained title of the Walton-BSJC Media Cricket Tournament beating Inqilab by four wickets in the final at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Chasing Inqilab’s score of 59, Dhaka Tribune reached the wining spot making 60 for the loss of two wickets.
Dhaka Tribune, the champions were awarded Taka fifty thousand, while Inqilab, the runners-up were given Taka thirty thousand. GTV and Channel i, the joint third-place achiever team got Taka ten thousand each.
Besides, Hasan of Inqilab, the Man of the Tournament was awarded Take ten thousand, while Sumon of Inqilab, the Man of the Final got Taka five thousand.
After the final match, Vice-President of Bangladesh Cricket Board Mahbub Anam distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while General Secretary of Bangladesh Athletics Federation Ibrahim Changish, Chairperson of Joyjatra Foundation Helena Jahangir, Executive Director of Walton Group SM Zahid Hasan, Operative Director of Walton Group Uday Hakim, Senior Deputy Director of Walton Group Feroz Alam, Assistant Director of Walton Group Rabiul Islam Milton were with him as special guests.
Besides, the officials of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Community (BSJC) and the officials of Bangladesh Sports Press Association were present at the time.
