Dhaka Regency in Government’s LTU list

More than eight and a half years have elapsed since launching of Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort near Shahjalal International Airport on the 14th of April 2007. By now 214-guestroomed Dhaka Regency has succeeded in proving itself as a good residential accommodation for travelers with its annual average room occupancy reaching around 70 per cent and the hotel itself has been in the government’s LTU (large taxpayer unit) list for long.
Offering 14 types of guestrooms, Dhaka Regency offers a lucrative weekend package for two persons @ BDT 11,111 including breakfast, lunch or dinner. To avail the package, guests can check in on Thursday or Friday.
Dhaka Regency’s 110-item buffet breakfast between 6-30 and 10 AM costs BDT 1850 plus, 120-item buffet lunch between 12 and 3-30 PM and buffet dinner between 6 and 10-30 PM costs BDT 2,600 plus.
Dhaka Regency’s rooftop swimming pool is free for use by the room guests. Outsiders also can use the swimming pool @ BDT 1,500 per adult and @ BDT 1,000 per child.
“We pay more than BDT one crore (ten million) every month as VAT and taxes to the public exchequer and our name has been in the government’s LTU (large taxpayer unit) list for long,” said Executive Director of Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, Shahid Hamid while talking to this correspondent in the afternoon on October 25 (Sunday) last.
