Dhaka Regency celebrates ‘The Night of Hope’ with Shishu Polli Plus

Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort, the new generation business class hotel; which is always engaged in arranging fund raising and social awareness creating campaigns to support several organizations by offering in-kind goods, collecting funds, making corporate donations and offering a helping hand from its associates as the part of its corporate social responsibilities.
To carry out these continuing efforts and initiatives, this year Dhaka Regency supported Shishu Polli Plus (SPP), a small non-religious, non-political organization based in Sreepur, Gazipur by holding a fund raising buffet dinner on its 25th anniversary which was held on Saturday, last in the hotel.
Participation and donation to the Shishu Polli Plus were made through buying a Ticket for BDT 2000 and Money raised from the ticket selling was handed over to Shishu Polli Plus by Dhaka Regency with the hope to generate awareness and improve the opportunities of the underprivileged women and children for a better life.
The program was started with the welcome speech from the chief guest Mr. Kevin Steele, Managing Director and CEO of Bangladesh Biman and Shahid Hamid FIH, Executive Director of Dhaka Regency.
Local and foreign guests accompanied by SPP children enjoyed all the traditional live music, silent auction and cultural performances which made the event content full.
During the program, a cheque amount of BDT 25,000 was donated to SPP by Arif Motaher, the Managing Director of Dhaka Regency, BDT 20,000 from Shahabuddin Ahmad, Editor, The Travel World magazine which was also the Print Media partner of the event and 3 boxes of child wear from Ahsan Mahmood, Country Manager, Mayoral Moda Infantil.
