The Kokomo Dhaka Metropolitan School Table Tennis Tournament begins today at the Auditorium of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited. Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited has organized the table tennis competition while Kokomo Quantum Corporation Limited is the sponsor of the tournament. Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation will give cooperation to run the meet smoothly.
Regarding this competition, a press conference was held at the Auditorium of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited on Wednesday.
Director of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Sarwar Hossain, Member Secretary of the Kokomo Dhaka Metropolitan School Table Tennis Tournament Committee Jobera Rahman Linu, HR Manager of Kokomo Quantum Corporation Limited Eirin Nasrin was present at the conference, among others.
A total of 200 students (boys & girls) from 32 teams are taking part in the tournament.
The events of the competition are: Team event (boys’), team event (girls’), boys’ singles (Class III to Class VI), girls’ singles (Class III to Class VI), boys’ singles (Class VII to SSC or ‘O’ Level), girls’ singles (Class VII to SSC or ‘O’ Level)
The budget of the tournament is Taka three lakh while Kokomo Quantum Corporation Limited has given Taka two lakh and fifty thousand to Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
The three-day long tournament will come to an end on March 6.
