Dhaka Metropolis suffer batting collapse on day 1 in NCL

Dhaka Metropolis suffered batting collapse as they were bundled out for 166 against Dhaka Division on the first day of tier 24th round match of four-day National Cricket League (NCL) that resumed from Tuesday after a two-month break at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Mohammad Sharif caused the major damage as he grabbed four Metropolis wickets conceding 35 runs. He was well supported by Nazmul Islam who bagged three wickets giving away 46 runs.
In reply, Dhaka Division started their first innings in the afternoon and also faced batting jolt losing both their openers only for 19 runs.
Minhaz Khan and Rakibul Hasan were on the crease with 8 and 2 runs as bad light forced early close of first day’s play.
Saykat Ali and Shahidul Islam shared one wicket each for Dhaka Metropolis.
