Dhaka Metro, Chittagong Div four-day NCL ended in draw

The rain-hit tier two four-day game between Dhaka Metro and Chittagong Division of 19th Walton Smart Fridge National Cricket League (NCL) finally ended in a tame draw at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Chasing a winning target of 294 runs set by Dhaka Metro, Chittagong Division suffered batting collapsed in their second innings and were reeling at 97 for the loss of six wickets at stumps.
Adikur Rahman top scored with 33 runs while skipper Irfan Sukkur was remained unbeaten with valuable 21.
Nihad Uz Zaman and Saikat Ali shared two wickets each conceding 11 and 25 runs respectively.
Earlier, Chittagong Division resumed their first innings on the fourth day with overnight score at 216 for 8 and finally all out for 261, in reply to a Dhaka Metro’s first innings total of 369.
Ashraful was the pick of Dhaka Metro bowler as he grabbed three wickets for 65 runs. He was well supported by Nihad Uz Zaman and M Shahid who both shared two wickets each giving away 56 and 69 runs respectively.
Back with a 108 runs first innings lead, Dhaka Metro declared their second innings at 165 for 3, rode on a magnificent unbeaten knock off 102 by opener Shamsur Rahman.
Ashraful of Dhaka Metro was named the player of the match for his all round performance.
