Dhaka Division ranks top in deaths, Mymensingh bottom

The fatalities by the deadly coronavirus subsequently are increasing in the country. As division, Dhaka ranks first with 1041 deaths and Mymensingh at rock bottom with 48death only.
Bangladesh has confirmed 29 deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3288 new cases of infection testing 14,727 samples in the last 24 hours.
With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 1,997 and the number of total infections is 159,679.
According to Additional Director General of Health Directorate Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, out of 1,997 fatalities till date, 1,041 are from Dhaka division, 521 from Chattogram, 101 from Rajshahi, 84 from Sylhet, 82 from Khulna, 67 from Barishal, 53 from Rangpur and 48 from Mymensingh division.
The gender-wise analysis of the victims say that some 1,587 people died from Covid-19. Of them 1,177 are males and 410 are females, marking 89.47% and 20.53% respectively.
Among the last 24 hours dead patients, 21 were men and eight were women. Of them, nine from Dhaka, seven from
 Rajshahi, four from Chattogram, three each from Khulna and Sylhet, two from Barishal, and one from Mymensingh division.
In the country first covid-19 patient was identified on March 8 and first death was recorded on March 18.
After one month of first detection on April 20, Bangladesh has recorded 100 deaths. On May 25 the death toll reached 500, on 10 June it has reached 1000 and on June 22 it was 1500.
After 84 days from identified first patient, the death toll reached around 2000 on July 4.
According to statistics, it takes 37 days for first 500 covid-19 deaths, 16 days for next 500, 12 days for next 500 and 13 days for last 497 covid-19 fatalities.
