UNB, Dhaka :Two centuries made by Anisul Islam and Saif Hasan enabled Dhaka Division South to score 337 runs against Barisal Division on the first day of a three-day-match of Young Tigers U-18 National Cricket Competition at Cricket Garden in Rangpur on Friday. Batting first after winning the toss, Dhaka Division South piled up the score for 9 wickets in 90 overs. Middle order Anisul Islam made a century scoring 125 runs off 182 balls with 13 fours and a six. One down Saif Hasan also hit a century making 122 runs off 206 balls with 12 boundaries. Md Sajid and Akib Mahamud added 25 runs each. Shawon Gazi claimed 7 wickets for 151 runs while Shakil Arman and Mridul Devnath took one wicket each for 68 and 73 runs respectively. In reply, Barisal Division opened the first innings and were 45 for 3 in 16 overs at stumps on the first day. Oli Ahmed scored the team highest 16 runs while Panna Mia and Shahsab were batting with 2 and 0 runs respectively.Rokibul Islam Raja, Shariar Shuvo and Ahasanullah Himel took one wicket each for 1, 4 and 8 runs respectively.
