Dhaka, Delhi secy-level talks on water issues held

A secretary-level talks to discuss water-related issues was held between Bangladesh and India in the state guesthouse Meghna in Dhaka on Thursday morning.
Indian Water Resources Secretary Upendra Prasad Singh and his Bangladesh counterpart
Kabir Bin Anwar led their respective delegations, an official said. Both sides discussed ways to go for a joint study to ensure the best use of Ganges water. Bangladesh and India share 54 trans-boundary rivers.
On Tuesday, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das met State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque and discussed matters related to water-related issues between the two neighbours.
