Four more district teams — Dhaka, Barisal, Sylhet and Thakurgaon emerged zonal champions to reach the final round of the Sailor-BFF National U-15 Football Championship eliminating their rivals at different zonal venues across the country on Thursday.
Earlier, Natore and Narayanganj district teams qualified for the final round as the zonal champions from their respective zones.
In the day’s match at Tangail Stadium, Dhaka clinched the zonal crown beating hosts Tangail District team by 2-0 goals in the zonal final.
Minhazul Abedin scored both the goals for Dhaka in the 70th and 80th minute respectively.
At Gopalganj Stadium, Barisal beat hosts Gopalganj by 1-0 goal which was scored by Mohammad Sharif in the zonal final.
At Moulvibazar Stadium, Sylhet won the zonal title defeating Comilla by 2-0 goals in the zonal final.
Rasel Ahmed scored both the goals for the winners.
At Thakurgoan Stadium, hosts Thakurgaon clinched the zonal crown beating Nilphamari by 3-2 goals in tie breaker as the match was locked in 1-1 goals in the stipulated period.
Meanwhile, Khulna reached the zonal final of the meet eliminating Sathkira by 4-3 goals in tie breaker after the match was tied in 1-1 goals in the scheduled time at the Jessore Stadium on Thursday.
