Dhaka Abahani Limited blanked Soccer Club, Feni by 3-0 goals in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League (BPFL) held on Friday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
After a barren first half, Feni Soccer would have taken the lead in the 46th minute, but midfielder Sohel Miah’s angular placing shot narrowly missed the side post.
However, Abahani took the deserving lead in the 58th minute as midfielder Abdul Baten Majumdar Komol ran down the left flank and passed square to Nigerian forward Sunday Chizoba, who curved the ball into the far post net (1-0).
Sunday doubled the lead in the 67th minute with cracking right footer on a through pass from midfielder Shahedul Alam (2-0).
Two minutes later Ghanaian forward Osie Morison made his way through the Feni Soccer defence and passed square to Shahedul Alam, the Abahani midfielder, who completed the tally from e close range shot (3-0).
With the day’s win, Abahnai moved up 23 points from 12 matches while Feni Soccer remained at their previous collection of nine points.
