Dhaka-14 MP Aslamul Haque dies

Dhaka-14 MP and vice-president of Dhaka City North Awami League (AL), Aslamul Haque died while undergoing treatment at a city hospital around 11am on Sunday.
He was 60.
Dhaka City North AL Organizing Secretary Azizul Haque Rana told BSS that Aslamul was taken to Square Hospital in the capital after he suddenly fell sick.
Aslamul Haque was elected MP from Dhaka-14 constituency three times in a row on the nomination of Awami League.
On December 29, 2008, he was elected Member of Parliament for the first time. He was also elected MP from the same constituency in 2014 and 2018.
He served as a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Aslamul Huq.
In a condolence message on Sunday, she prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
