Chittagong Bureau :
A day long review meeting of Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED)was held at LGED Bhaban in Chittagong .
Chief Engineer Abul Kalam Azad was present as Chief Guest.
Near about four hundred officers and staff participated in the workshop.
The chief Engineer urged all to develop rural area in the estimate time frame so that the rural people can easily avail the facility of present government.
He also added that the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, country advancing rapidly as well as the development of the rural area.
He also disclosed this financial year LGED finalised near about 16 core taka development work throughout the country which major portion worked in Chittagong division. World Bank, ADB,JiCA ,Saudi fund ,Dutch Fund also used this development project. Chief engineer urged to complete the project in time to maintain the quality of work. Additional Chief Engineer, project directors ,superintendent engineer , executive engineers and asst. engineers also participated in the daylong review meeting.
