Fulbari Upazila Administration organised various programmes marking the three-day long Development Fair in a befitting manner at Fulbari Upazila in Dinajpur on Thursday.
Primary and Mass Education Minister, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Fizar MP inaugurated the Fair as Chief Guest . He also said that, Bangladesh led by Sheikh Hasina has now become a role model for development in the world.
A colorful rally was taken out of the Upazila Parishad Complex led by Primary and Mass Education Minister freedom fighter Md Mostafizur Rahman Fizar MP. Later, a discussion was arranged at Upazila Parishad Crossing with UNO, Md. Abdus Salam Chowdhury in the chair and Upazila Primary Education Officer Mosammat Hasina Bhuiyan was present as special guest.
Upazila Awami League President Md. Haider Ali Shah, General Secretary Md Mushfiqur Rahman Babul, Upazila Agriculture Officer ATM Hamim Ashraf, Engineer Officer Md. Shahiduzzaman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Mst. Maznunnaahar Maya, OC Sheikh Nasim Habib, UP Chairman. Manik Ratan addressed the event as special guests.
BSS from Gaibandha reports: A 3-day long development fair-2018 is being held at district and upazila headquarters here as elsewhere in the country from on Thursday with the theme of “Role Model of Development, Sheikh Hasina’s Bangladesh.
The main objective of the fair is to focus the development activities of the government to build Bangladesh a middle income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the fair through video conferencing at a function held at Ganabhaban, Dhaka on Thursday.
BSS from Manikganj adds: Aimed at focusing all information about development activities of the present government, a three-day “Development Fair-2018” was inaugurated here on Thursday .
Organised by Manikganj district administration, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek, MP inaugurated the fair at Manikganj Government High School playground.
Deputy Commissioner Md Nazmus Sadat Salim and Chairman of Manikganj Zila Parishad Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, among others, were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Zahid Malek said “Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is marching forwards development which is a wonder to the world.”
“Now Bangladesh is self sufficient in food production, about 80% people are getting electricity facilities, heath sector has been developed remarkably, education sector, road and transport sector including ICT have achieved visible development. The government is implementing a lot of mega projects such as Padma Bridge and metro rail in the capital.”
Earlier, a colourful rally was brought out from the fair premise that paraded the main roads of the district town.
A total of 105 stalls of different divisions of government, semi- government, autonomous bodies, educational institutions and NGOs have been set up in the fair.
