Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) on Tuesday started a campaign “Dengue Elimination Campaign-2019” to create awareness in order to preventing of Dengue virus.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat inaugurated the campaign at BAF Base Bashar in the city.
BAF has arranged this campaign in line with the national drive to prevent and cure dengue, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
“Prevention is the best way to control dengue and…public awareness is an effective way to eliminate dengue by destroying Aedes mosquitoes,” said the statement quoting the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal.
He also urged BAF personnel to keep their offices, residences and the surroundings clean to stop breeding of Aedes mosquitoes.
On the same day, President of Bangladesh Air Force Women Welfare Association (BAFWWA) Yasmeen Zaman opened another campaign.
