Deliverance from COVID sought in Eid’s main congregation

The main congregation of the Holy Eid-ul-Fitr has been held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram in the capital on Friday.
The first congregation was held at 7:00 am on Friday. Thousands of devotees took part in the congregation. The Sermon (Khutba) was delivered at the end of the prayers. Then Doa and Munajat were offered for deliverance from the COVID pandemic.
A total of five congregations was held at Baitul Mukarram. Before the start of each Eid congregation, the worshipers entered the mosque following the hygiene rules, especially, wearing masks have made mandatory. The mosque authorities are giving free masks to those who do not have face masks.
Imam Hafez Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman, Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram, presided over the first congregation. Muazzin Hafez Kari Kazi Masudur Rahman the Muqabbir of the Eid prayer.
The second congregation started at 8:00 am. After that, three more congregations were scheduled to be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9 am, 10 am and 10:45 am. Besides, Eid-ul-Fitr congregations are also being held in the mosques of the neighborhoods across the capital.
