Delhi Capitals thrashed Punjab Kings by nine wickets in their match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Chasing Punjab’s paltry total of 115 off 20 overs, Delhi Capitals romped home making 119 for the loss of one wicket when they had 57 balls to spare.
Jitesh Sharma of Punjab Kings hit 32 from 23 balls featuring five fours.
Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav of Delhi Capitals claimed two wickets each instead of 10, 11, 21 and 24 runs respectively.
Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh took one wicket in the space of 28 runs.
Later, opener David Warner remained unbeaten with 60 runs. He hit 10 fours and a sixer in his 30-ball innings.
Opener Prithvi Shaw cracked 41. His 20-ball innings was belted with seven fours and a sixer.
Rahul Chahar took one wicket for 21 runs.
