Awami League General Secretary and Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday said the defeated forces of Liberation War are hatching conspiracy to destroy the country’s hard-earned democracy in many ways.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to establish a developed nation by defeating conspirators and Rajakars who are active to take avenge of their defeat of the War of Liberation,” he told journalists after placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi marking Bangabandhu’s Homecoming Day.
He said Rajakars and anti-liberation forces had initiated conspiracy since 1971 and they are still active both at home and abroad to tarnish country’s image.
Referring to role of Pakistanis, Ashraf said, “They (Pakistanis) were not successful at all even in last 44 years, and they wouldn’t be in future as well.”
