A decomposed dead body of a housewife named Kohinur Begum (40) was recovered from the bank of Pallimangol canal in the village Baropari under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Sunday afternoon by the police of Morrelganj PS. She was the wife of one Shah Alam Khan of village B Dhansagar under the adjacent Sharankhola Upazila in the same district.
Khalil Hawladar, brother of Kohinur Begum told, she was missing from her house at mid night Saturday. Her relatives searched her hither and thither at the night. But no trace of her was found. On Sunday afternoon (at about 2 pm) the dead body was found in Pallymangol canal, 3 kilometers off her house. Being informed of the matter a police squad led by Rashedul Alam, O/C (investigation), Morrelganj PS rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body. It is learnt from the police and the locals that the left hand of Kohinur Begum was detached from her body and some marks of cut injuries were noticed on the different places including chest) of the dead body.
