A new born baby’s decomposed body was found in the city’s Airport area early Monday. The identity of the body could not be known immediately, police said.
Mohammad Gurjahan, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Airport Police Station said, a police team found the body wrapped in a white piece of cloth near a lake at Kawla around 7:30am.
He said that the body had been sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
Quoting the doctors, DMCH Police Outpost SI Mozammel Haque said that the body was brought to hospital morgue around 2:00pm. But they could not identified whether it was a boy or girl as the body was badly decomposed.
