The journalist community of Chattogram staged demonstration against death of minor child of Journo Rubel Khan following the wrong treatment and negligence of the physicians.
The demonstration was held in front of Chattogram Press Club on Saturday evening .
Raipa Khan a 3-years old child is the daughter of Rubel Khan, staff reporter of Dainik Samakal, Chattogram Bureau.
Family sources of Rubel Khan said Raipa was admitted in Max Hospital due to her ENT complications who expired due to wrong treatment and negligence of the physicians and nurses. Immediate after death, the journos of Chattogram alleged against 3 physicians and Kotwali thana police instantly detained them .
Officer In charge of Chowkbazar thana Abul Kalam told that 3 hospital employees including physician was brought in thana custody on Friday night. Following the discussions between journalist leaders, hospital management and police officials decided to form a probe committee consists of Journalists, Max management, civil surgeon office immediately to find out the reasons of death.
Among others, President of CUJ Nazimuddin, General secretary Hasan Ferdous, General Secretary of BFUJ Omar Faruk, former general secretary Abdul Jalil Bhuyia, President of Chattogram Press Club Kalim Sarwar, President of DUJ Abu Zafar Surja former President Shaban Mahmud, former joint secretary Jakaria Kajal, Vice President of BFUJ Shahidul Alam, joint secretary Tapan Chakraborty, Executive member Asif Siraj, senior vice President of CUJ Mainuddin Dulal, Vice President of CPC Kazi Mansur, joint secretary Chowdhury Farid, journos Kashem Shah, Ahmed Kutub, Uttam Sen and father of the victim Rubel Khan spoke on the occasion.
The speakers in the protest meeting blamed the socalled Doctors those are running after money than the medicare services.
These greedy doctors are doing business only rather human services in public and private hospitals.
They also blamed President of BMA, chattogram chapter Dr.Faisal Iqbal chowdhury for his involvement in transfer business, tender business and other extortions .
It was also disclosed in the meeting that Dr.Faisal Iqbal is a Director of a Jamaat funded Hospital in city but he is impersonating as a Awami league activist. The journalists also warned the city Awami league leaders those are sheltering the Faisal Iqbal.
