A condolence meeting over the death of former Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Prof Dr Mir Shahidul Islam held at the central hall of CUET on Thursday.
Vice-chancellor (VC) of CUET Prof Dr Rafiqul Alam addressed the rally as chief guest while Dean of Civil Engineering Faculty Prof Dr Mohammad Hazrat Ali, Dean of Electrical Engineering Faculty Prof Dr Kosushik Dev, Registrar Prof Dr Farukuzzaman Chowdhury, Chairman of Civil Engineering Department Prof Dr Mohammad Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan, Vice-president of CUET Teachers Association Prof Dr Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Achintya Kumar Chakraborti, Mohamnmad Jamal uddin, Mohammad Sakibul Alam, Rakib Hasan Tomal and Nasir Ahmed addressed the meeting. It may be mentioned that former Vice Chancellor of CUET Prof Dr Mir Shahidul Islam died in Dhaka on Tuesday last. The speakers expressed deep shock over the death of Prof Dr Mir Shahidul Islam.
