Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday expressed profound shock at the death of former Professor Shahjahan Tapan of Institute of Education and Research of the university.
In a condolence message, the VC said Prof Tapan was a devoted and sincere teacher and researcher.
His outstanding contribution to the arena of education and research will be ever remembered, Prof Arefin added.
The VC prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
