Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury expressed her deep shock at the premature death of Irene Parven Badhan, a civil servant and former vice president of Shamsunnar Hall of Dhaka University. Badhan, 50, died of cancer in a Singapore hospital on Sunday.
The Agriculture Minister conveyed her deep sympathy to the members of bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Badhan, also a Deputy Secretary of the government was the spouse of Ishaque Ali Khan Panna, an Awami League central leader and former General Secretary of Bangladesh Chattra League.
