Today is the 2nd death anniversary of Kamrun Naher, Associate Professor of Dhaka College. She is the daughter of late Advocate A K M Khalilur Rahman, former Vice-President of the Dhaka Bar Association and sister of TV Anchor Zillur Rahman.
On the occasion, prayers will be offered, milad mahfil, Qurankhwani will be held. Food will also be distributed among orphan and destitute people.
Relatives and admirers are requested to pray for salvation of the departed soul.
Abul Hashem
Today is the 9th death anniversary of educationist Abul Hashem. On this occasion a discussion and Dua Mahfil will be held at Singhakhali College premises. Hashem is the founder and principal of Singhakhali College in Pirojpur district.
Educationist Abul Hashem has set up school, college, mosque, madrasah and post office at his own homestead in Singhakhali under Bhandaria upazila in Pirojpur district.
He was well-known as an educationist as well as a social renovator in Pirojpur, Bagerhat, Jhalakathi and Barguna districts.
He authored two books named ‘English Grammar & Composition for Class vi’ and ‘Bhandaria Darpan.
