Death anniv of Shamsuddin Molla observed

The 25th death anniversary of prominent Awami League leader Advocate Shamsuddin Molla was observed in Faridpur on Sunday in a befitting manner.
On the occasion his family members, party colleagues and scores of people placed floral wreaths at the grave of Molla at Alipur graveyard. Feeding the destitute, Milad Mahfil and Quran Khawni was held at his East Khabashpur residence.
Shamsuddin Molla was elected MNA in 1970, MP in 1973 and was also appointed District Governor of Faridpur in 1975. An organizer of great liberation war in 1971 he was a member of the drafting committee of Bangladesh’s first constitution.
Shamsuddin Molla was Faridpur based correspondent of Dainik Ittefaq from 1963 till liberation war. He was also the president of Faridpur Press Club.
