The first death anniversary of journalist and Freedom Fighter Timir Lal Dutta will be observed today.
To mark the day, religious rituals will be held at his home. Besides, recitation from Geeta and prayers will also be held on October 27 at his residence in city’s Bashabo area, said a release here on Sunday.
Dutta worked with different dailies, including the Daily Samakal and Daily Khabor. He last discharged duties as a senior reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
He was also the president of Shipping Reporters’ Forum, Bangladesh (SRFB).
