The 26th death anniversary of former minister Korban Ali was observed amid discussion and Doa Mahfil.
Korban Ali Research Council organised the programme at Korban Ali Plaza in the capital’s Wari.
Korban Ali Research Council Chairman and Presidium Member of Jatiya Party Sheikh Mohammad Sirajul Islam presided over the discussion while Co-Chairman of the Jatiya Party GM Quader attended as the chief guest.
Former State Minister Mizanur Rahman Sinha was present as the special guest while son of Korban Ali and Secretary General of the Council M Tareque Ali, Office Secretary Advocate Abdur Rashid, Advocate Jahirul Hoque, Advocate Yusuf Asgar, Advocate Matiur Rahman and Advocate Jahangir Alam spoke the programme, among others.
The speakers recalled the contribution of Korban Ali to the Liberation War of Bangladesh, democratic movement and people’s welfare and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul.
