The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation, Bangladesh hosted a reception, DEA Night, to honor the contributions of the heads of educational institutions, partner award units of The DEA Foundation, BD, award coordinators and award leaders at a city hotel on Saturday.
The DEA Night is a grand get together held once a year to acknowledge the contributions of the heads of institutions, members of the executive committee, the national award authority, award coordinators and award leaders.
In his welcome speech, National Director Prof Dr KM Shariful Huda apprised the guests of the activities and achievements of DEA Foundation, BD.
British High Commissioner, Robert Winnington Gibson CMG graced the occasion as chief guest.
 The chief guest in his speech said, he was happy that the youth of Bangladesh are now having the same opportunities to be develop as other countries through the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
Mirza Salman Ispahani, Chairman of DEA Foundation, BD and Managing Director, MM Ispahani Ltd. expressed sincere thanks for active participation to all the members of the Trustee Board, executive committee, the national award authority, heads of institutions, award leaders and award coordinators.
 Among the trustees Jim McCabe, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank, M Azizul Huq, Managing Director, GSK, AK Shamsuddin Khan, Chairman, AK Khan Group were present.
Members of the Executive Committee of The DEA Foundation, BD also joined the Programme.
DEA Night was also attended by Prof MA Matin, Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, Prof Nurun Nabi, Vice Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Prof Dr M Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Independent University, Bangladesh, Prof Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor of ULAB, Sabur Khan, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chairman of Daffodil Group and heads of prominent institutions spoke on the occasion.
 Shereen Ispahani, Director, Chittagong Grammar School (CGS) presented a conspicuous multimedia presentation on the award programme.
New Logo of DEA Foundation, BD was launched at the programme and every Award Units (Partner Institutions) were presented Acrylic Boards with New Logo as visual identity. The programme ended with cultural programme by award participants of attending institutions.
