The opening ceremony of Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCH Trust) and Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) Health Center for influx of most persecuted Rohingya people held on Wednesday at Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
DCH Trust & PWJ Established Health Center at Hakimpara, Ukhiya to serve the influx of most persecuted Rohingya people. The Health Center will support Maternal and Child health care
service by providing ANC, Safe Delivery, PNC service, providing nutritional supplements, Family Planning, Primary Health Care service, Pathological services and a specialized care to the Rohingya People. It will be also use as an emergency and referral service as well. mobile clinic and public health campaign are continuing at Moinarghona, Balukhali, Thaingkhali and Palangkhali of Ukhiya Upazila, Cox’s Bazar for the remote Rohingya patients.
Dr. Misbah Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Health & Planning Officer was present as chief guest, Capt. M. Abu Taher (AMC)- Medical Officer, Hakimpara Camp, Lt. Rakib, Camp Commander, Hakimpara Camp, Thaingkhali, Ronjit Halder, Manager, Project & Research Dept. DCHT & Prof. Dr. Monirul Alam Director, Community Research Institute of Traumatology, Orthopedic & Rehabilitation (CRITOR) were present on the occasion.
Rohingya people who are facing ethnic cleansing in Burma’s Rakhine state. The Burmese army has been accused of carrying out extra-judicial killings in the restive Rakhine region since 25 August 2017 as a result Rohingya people are facing catastrophic humanitarian situations.
