DCCI team off to China to attend business forum

A 13-member delegation of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) led by its Acting President Humayun Rashid left Dhaka Thursday to attend the 10th China-South Asia Business Forum and Consultative Meeting on Co-operation Council of BCIM Chambers in Kunming, China to be held from 12-14 June, 2015.
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) invited the Bangladesh team, says a press release.
The delegation includes Humayun Rashid, Acting President, DCCI, Directors Abdus Salam, Muktar Hossain Chowdhury, Co-convenors MA Rashid Shah Shamrat, Riyadh Hossain, former Vice President Mohammad Alauddin Malik, former Directors Mohammed Mazharul Islam, Nazir Hossain, Ahmmed Hossain Mozumder, members Jahangir Hussain Miah, Mohammed Mia Hossain, DCCI Secretary General AHM Rezaul Kabir and Deputy Secretary Md Akramul Haque.
DCCI Acting President Humayun Rashid will speak as a panel discussant in the Business Forum titled “Promote the Construction of Silk Road Economic Belt: Accelerate the Pace of Business Cooperation on the Perspective of Industrial Cooperation”.
The delegation will meet business community in China and have several bilateral meetings with the Chinese businessmen and investors. The main objective of the business delegation will be to establish linkage between the businessmen of China and Bangladesh and also explore newer export destination.
DCCI attends the China-South Asia Business Forum regularly with a view to promote trade and investment between the South-West region of China and Bangladesh.
