DCCI publishes Tax Guide

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman said the NBR and the business community are committed to work together to fulfill revenue collection target of the current fiscal year (FY18).
“We are working for creating a tax payer friendly, easy, timely and overall business friendly tax system in the country,” said the NBR chief while unveiling a Tax Guide 2017-18 of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) on Thursday.
He appreciated DCCI for publishing the tax guide every year which helps the tax payers calculate income tax in a formulated way and encourage them to pay tax as well.
He said in order to create awareness NBR arranged “Tax Camp” in the district level and this kind of tax campaign is very helpful and they are planning to enhance its activities at the Upazila level.
DCCI President Abul Kasem Khan, Senior Vice President Kamrul Islam, FCA Vice President Hossain A Sikder, Directors Humayun Rashid, Imran Ahmed, K. Atique-e-Rabbani, FCA, Kh. Rashedul Ahsan, Mamun Akbar, Md. Alauddin Malik, Secretary General AHM Rezaul Kabir, Members of NBR Parvez Iqbal and Md. Abdur Razzak were present on the occasion.
DCCI President Abul Kasem Khan said that the Guide 2017-18 covers up-to-date information on Income Tax, Customs Duty, Supplementary Duty and Value Added Tax (VAT) along with different schedules, SROs and orders which will be very helpful to the business entrepreneurs, banks, non-banking financial institutions, insurance companies and other corporate business houses to understand the taxation system of the country.
