DCCI for expediting economic dev to make achievement sustainable

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Abul Kasem Khan on Thursday said attaining criteria for graduation from the LDC country to a developing one is a milestone for Bangladesh.
“This recognition will create a positive image of Bangladesh in the international market,” he said while attending the rally organized for celebrating Bangladesh’s achievements.
To sustain the three indexes (Gross National Income, Human Assets Index and Economic Vulnerability Index) for the next six years he suggested expediting economic development.
And for sustainable economic development he urged for policy reformation, increasing private sector investment, infrastructure development and human resource development.
To face the upcoming challenge, the DCCI President urged for product diversification and exploring new export destination.
DCCI senior vice President Kamrul Islam, vice president Riyadh Hossain, members of the Board and all staff of DCCI attended the rally organized by the government of Bangladesh on the occasion of attaining eligibility for Bangladesh’s graduation from the LDC country to a developing one.
The rally started from the Shilpakala Academy and ended at Bangabandhu Stadium.
