The first daylong Inter School Cycling competition was held on Friday at Bangabandhu National Stadium square in the city.
In the day’s class IX group, Tahmid Hossain of Government Science College Attached High School, Mohidul Alam and Fuad Hasan of Motijheel Government Boys’ High School finished first, second and third position respectively.
In the class VIII group, M Sajib of Segun Bagicha High School, Savisachi Islam of ST Gregory’s High School and Rabayet Halder of Government Science College Attached High School finished first, second and third position respectively.
In the class VII group, Arnab Ahmed of Government Laboratory High School, Maruf Raihan of Government Motijheel Boys High School and Borhanuddin of Segun Bagicha High School finished first, second and third position respectively.
Earlier, Bangladesh Cycling Federation (BCF) president and Sport Secretary of Border Guard Bangladesh Lieutenant colonel Nazrul Islam formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest in the morning.
On the closing ceremony, Bangladesh Awami League Sports Affairs Secretary Harunur Rashid was present as the chief guest and distributed the prizes after the competition, organised by BCF.
