Day temperature may rise slightly

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am today.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a Met office bulletin issued here.
It said that moderate to thick fog may occur at places over northwestern part and light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country from late night to today’s morning.
Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Barisal, Srimangal and Rangamati and it may continue.
As an extended outlook of the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that rain or thunder shower is likely to occur at some places over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 29.2 degree Celsius in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazaar district, while Saturday’s minimum temperature was 6.4 degree Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh district.
