Delwar Hossain (48), a day labourer of village Samaddarkhali within Jewdhara Union Parishad under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district met his tragic end when he was electrocuted on Saturday noon, according to a report received here.
It is learnt from the locals that on the day at noon (at about 12 am) unfortunate Delwar Hossain claimed a coconut tree belonging to one his neighbors to pluck coconuts. But, some how, he came into the contact with a live electricity wire passes by the side of the coconut tree and he was electrocuted. The deceased was the son of one Wazed Ali Hawladar of the village. He left behind wife, 2 sons and one daughter to mourn his death.
Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Morreganj PS told, being informed of the matter police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and it was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hosptal for autopsy.
