Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.
 “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued in the capital.
 The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 35.6 degree Celsius in Rajshahi district while Tuesday’s minimum temperature 25.0 degree Celsius was recorded in Rangamati district.
 Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 47 millimeters (mm) in Sylhet district.
