Darshana sugar mills of the district will go into seasonal production on November 25, 2016,
managing director of the mills K.M Arshad uddin disclosed this on Friday after a meeting.
Top officials of the mills and sugarcane welfare society leaders, sramik union leaders, zonal chiefs of the mills and leading sugarcane cultivators of the mill area attended the meeting.
The mill management has fixed up a target to produce seven thousand tonnes of sugar by crushing one lakh tonnes of sugarcane during this season, the sources said.
The recovery percentage of sugar during this season has been fixed at 7 percent.
Now, there is standing sugarcane on 7,620 acres of land in the mills zone area which are to be crushed in the mills during this season.
According to mills management source, the working days of the mills during the current production season will be 100 days.
